Despite some pretty bad weather, the new central pier is now in place and work continues towards the re-opening of the bridge to rail traffic. As the first two sets of photos show, the bulk of the work is in the preparation but I got a nice surprise when I visited the site on the 2nd of November to see that the new concrete core was now in place.
